The Option for Lift and Slide Door Operation
Make opening up your aluminium patio doors an effortless process with Alpine Aluminium AP45 lift and slide doors. With minimal effort, they provide a sophisticated opening between your inside and outside space.
As an alternative option to our standard AP45 sliding door opening operation, our ‘lift-and-slide’ door option works as follows - as the door handle is turned, the panel is lifted on to ball bearings, ensuring effortless movement. When you have reached the desired position, turn the handle back to its original position, and the sliding door is secured. This allows you to partially open and 'fix' panels, providing even more opening options.
The Benefits of Sliding Glass Doors
Sliding doors generally allow for less frame and more glass when compared to bifolding doors across a comparative opening. Alpine premium-grade aluminium is exceptionally strong and can support larger panel expanse when compared to alternative materials such as timber, and deliver a far slimmer frame (AP45, 45mm / AP Infinium, 21mm) - maximising the glazed area and reducing sightlines. As a consequence, most of our customers who envisage they will be spending more time with their doors closed, opt for sliding doors whereas those who are intent on maximising the opening generally choose bi-folding doors - but everyone is different!
In summary, Alpine aluminium sliding doors bring more light into your home whilst delivering incredible thermal efficiency. The perfect combination.
